    Sales and Marketing Associate Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC) in April 2017.

    Interview

BAIT AND SWITCH! I applied for the position because I thought it was a sales and marketing position. In my first interview, they briefly described the job to me and it sounded like they had large clients. They kept telling me that I would help these clients with "brand awareness." The interview lasted maybe 30 minutes and they called me back the same day for a second interview. The next day I went in for the second interview. I waited for 30 minutes out in the lobby. They finally called me back and paired me up with someone who asked me a few questions about me and then took me to one of their "clients." It was a Costco and we were selling Direct TV. After sitting in Costco for 15 minutes, he took me to a Starbucks to talk about compensation. I was shocked when they said that they would only pay me $10 an hour. This company is most defiantly a scam, don't waste your time.

    Marketing Assistant Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC) in May 2018.

    Interview

I applied via Linkedin and was emailed almost immediately with an interview date and I got to pick the time. The first interview was pretty normal and I was told about the marketing position I would be hired for and if that was what I was looking for in employment which I obviously wanted. The second interview I was told about the company structure where I would start at the bottom and make my way up. One position, about 6 months to a 1 year from when I started, once I worked my way up from field sales (selling cable tv in Costco) I was told would be the closest I would get to a marketing assistant position. They did not have a position called marketing assistant in their company.
