    Marketing Associate Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC) in May 2018.

    Interview

I was set to interview. for a marketing position. Interviewed and was told that i was a great fit and that i was selected to move on in the interview process. Met trainer offsite at local Chick-Fil A, where I got a more in depth description of job duties, I was again selected to move on, but sat in a waiting room with four others for an hour and a half. In addition to feeling that the job description provided on the website was misleading (this is a sales job that was advertised like a Public Relations/Marketing position), felt that they had no respect for my time, so I left.

    Marketing Associate Interview

    Positive Experience

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC) in June 2017.

    Interview

Overall the interview process was very informative. I learned a lot about Norspark's business strategy and overall company goals. What really stood out to me as different from other interviews i've been on was the fact that the manager really cared to learn more about me and what I am looking for in my next career opportunity. I believe the manager's name was Grant, and he spent a ton of time letting me speak of my experience and my personal life.

In the later part of the interview he broke down the overall growth potential and earning potential of the position. Most importantly, I appreciate the transparency of the day to day operations at Norspark and what to expect.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC).

    Interview

First was an in-person interview where they talked about the company and its clients. They made it seem like a company that works with major clients on marketing strategy issues. But on the second interview I found out that it was a sale position in Sam's Club. You basically annoy people that are trying to shop. And the pay scale is mostly commission-based. NTY.

Had to go through 3 in person interviews before they finally took me to a Walmart and told me to stand there and sell people direct tv. This company is a joke.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NorSpark in March 2017.

    Interview

The hiring process was surprisingly smooth and well guided. Shortly after submitting my resume I was contacted by email and phone regarding interest in my abilities. I was impressed by bubbly voice on the phone that setup my interview. My first interview was sweet, I liked how they made me feel comfortable and weren't too serious or intimidating like some hard core business people. They explained well how my qualities would fit with their company.

    Entry Level Account Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at NorSpark (Raleigh, NC) in January 2018.

    Interview

This honestly felt like a huge scam. I applied for an entry level account manager position within the company. The first interview was short and went well, as they just wanted to put a face to a name. They called me back for the second out of the three interview process. That's when they started to finally talk more about the job description... and it was nothing close to what I applied for. They wanted me to be a soul-sucking salesperson that you see in places like Sam's Club, BJ's, Costco, etc. and sell phones along with internet services and bundles. They give you a base pay of $20,000 to "keep your feet warm" (who can live off of that kind of pay?), the rest is earned on commission. It has nothing to do with the job description they posted, as I assumed I would be handling actual accounts and helping them market their brand. It was such a huge waste of time. And it's not a typical 9-5 position; you get one day of the week off (Wednesday) and they are considered "shifts", where you can pick up night shifts as well to try and sell more bundles. There was no mention of a benefits package either. I think they could tell by the end of the second interview that I wasn't buying the nonsense they were trying to sell me, because even after they said they liked me and I had a bunch of great qualities, I didn't get that call back and I'm honestly relieved that they didn't.
