      Environmental Scientist Interview

      Sep 11, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Parsons Corporation

      Interview

I'm not entirely sure how they received my resume as I was putting out about 20 to 30 resumes a day through multiple avenues. However, once I had the interview it was only about 6 calendar days before they offered a position. The interview was pretty long, and thorough. Having me give a narrative of my history to fielding a few technical questions. The technical questions were all basic knowledge items, and nothing to trip you up. I think it was more of an attempt to validate the experiences on my resume.

      Question 1

This position requires travel, a lot of it, tell us how you might be able to manage a health work/life balance with spending this amount of time on the road?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Parsons Corporation (Somerset, NJ)

      Interview

Met with two people at the same time for about 45 min. They asked pretty standard questions. There were questions that were directly related to the job like safety and prior experience and the classic "when were you challenged" type questions as well. I also felt like the interviewers gave long answers, which was nice in that I received a lot of information from a single question. However I felt like I had a hard time contributing the conversation with a long answer.

Q: Do you have any experience in the field using the methods required?
