I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paycom in May 2023
Recruiter reached out to me because of my experience and scheduled a phone interview. Phone interview lasted less than 5 minutes due to me not having an undergraduate degree. This was never mentioned in the discussions before and was very disappointing and a massive waste of time and prep. Was told this was company policy and they cannot make any exceptions.

It wasn't too bad, you first meet with a recruiter and then a manager, and then the regional. They have you put together a business case to present in front of the team. You also will have to cold call and set 3 appointments in a 3 hour window.

Challenging but rewarding, Top talent in the interview process and made sure we were good fit for particular teams and manager. Gave access to current reps to ask questions which was appreciated, tour of the office was cool, and being around the buzz of PC sets good expectations about what the job is like. No surprises once I took the role
- Strengths and weaknesses/ differentiators/past experiences/Personal challenges that define character

Was crazy first two interviews were very straightforward. Final interview was very hard. Presentation then sell paycom to actual clients for 4 hrs unpaid. Pretty crazy for how limited your knowledge is if the company

- What motivates you each day?

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Paycom (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Quick review: CEO (Chad Richardson) does not allow sales teams to hire reps who have experience working for a competitor... Recruiter 10 minutes late to call... I applied on the company website and was contacted by a recruiter for a phone interview within 24 hours of the application. My resume was uploaded to the site and my LinkedIn link was provided in the application, but the recruiter stated they did not have all over my work experience/information. After verbally giving my background I was informed that the CEO (Chad Richardson) does not allow sales teams to hire reps who have any experience working for competitors, no matter the sector, and the interview was swiftly ended.
- Why are you looking to leave your current role?

Manager conversations are easy but the in person pitch and cold calling is tough. Thick skin is definitely needed. Do well enough to not bore your future teammates and you’ll be good to go.
- What motivates you at work?

Long, arduous, poorly planned and executed process with managers that did not seem to care or show interest in. In the 3rd or 4th round you will be asked to present a business plan or project which requires hours of work due to limited directions and no room for questions.
- What was your largest sale, what objections did you handle, and how did you close the deal?

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom in Mar 2022
1:1 interview with recruiter, manager, and regional VP, presentation on paycom with the sales team, PC session must make 3 appts before leaving. 4 interviews total, process took about 2 1/2 weeks
- What sales experience do you have? What are your major accomplishments

Anonymous Employee
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paycom
Multiple interviews and phone screens with recruiters and then multiple interviews with different levels of sales managers. If you make it through that then you have to prepare and deliver a presentation about Paycom to the branch you are interviewing at and cold call with them until you get to 3 meetings. If you don’t set 3 meetings, you don’t get the job.
- What gets you out of bed in the morning/what is your “why”?
