Encouraged an account holder to apply for a credit card because he's taking his family on vacation in Hawaii. The advice was simply for added security in the event of an emergency, Unfortunately he was denied the credit. But I seized the opportunity to advice him to set up an automatic savings from his direct deposit every pay period, (which he did) and when it amounts to $300 or more we can use it to open up a secured credit card, and over time may be upgraded to an unsecured credit card.
