Interview

The interviewer was very nice and polite. The office seemed a little stale. Some general background questions. Then I was offered to pay $500 upfront! to cover my training. Any insurance service I sell during the first year I get to keep %100, then next year is going to be %15. Then he gave a paper to write down the names of people I knew an call them and try to sell insurance to them, like common...the leads man. This job wasn't for me. Other people might like it.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Prudential (Scranton, PA) in September 2017.

    Interview

Applied online. Contact and appointment for interview set up was a bit spotty having to reschedule twice due to schedule constraints. Not a big issue for me but may be a cause of concerns to others. After a small briefing on the job and introduction the interview questioning began. Mostly, situational or past experience questions to test leadership competencies.

Had a very nice interviewer, asked to got through resume and then continued with primarily behavioral questions. Took about a half of and hour, and then fielded questions about the position and the culture of the company. Overall it was an okay experience.

    Interview

Spoke with a recruiter specializing Communications and HR recruitment for the firm. This recruiter was extremely unprofessional- no call at the agreed time, I had to email her to see if we were still connecting. She called immediately (at which point it was almost 10minutes late), didn't apologize for lateness. On realizing I had an accent (British) she proceeded to grill me about my ability to work in the US, despite explaining to her that I was eligible to do so through access to a work permit. Overall, incredibly unprofessional, she had poor listening skills and we didn't even discuss the role. This was months after my original application was submitted.

    Interview Questions

    • As above, the recruiter was not interested in me as a candidate and only in my ability to work in the United States- which I assured her I did have.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Prudential (Dallas, TX).

    Interview

I received an email letting me know I had been invited to interview. I set up an interview time. I went in on the day that I chose and interviewed with 3 different groups of two people for 30 minutes a piece. Then I waited and received an email from someone in HR saying they wanted to speak with me. When I was able to get on the phone with them, they let me know that I had received the internship, and worked with them for the next couple of weeks through the on boarding process.

    Customer Service Representative Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Prudential (Scottsdale, AZ) in August 2017.

    Interview

I was not impressed with the process. I had no verbal contact with a hiring manager. It was all done on email. There was no phone interview. When I arrived I was told the person I was supposed to interview with had to leave and I interviewed with 2 people, a man and woman. I found it highly unprofessional. They were dressed like they were attending an afternoon picnic. I was dressed business professional and I felt over dressed. I am glad I did not receive a job offer. I don't think the environment and culture would have worked for me.

    Interview Questions

    • I was asked your standard questions. Nothing was anything that was hard to answer. Of course, I got the tell me about a time you went above and beyond to solve a customer issue.   Answer Question

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Prudential (Newark, NJ) in August 2017.

    Interview

I applied online and got an email about an in-person interview about a month later. I interviewed with 3 separate people, they asked a lot of Behavioral questions and it ran about an hour and a half long. The investment operations associate title is very broad, and can be used to describe any number of positions within Prudential. They told me I was interviewing for 2 separate job openings when I showed up to the interview. 1 was for a Credit Data Analyst position and 1 was as a Trade Support Associate.
