The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PwC (New York, NY) in November 2011.

The process started through a campus career site/on-campus interview. The on-campus process consisted of a pre-interview social and dinner night at a local conference building. This was very informative and it really helped being able to meet the interviewers. The next day was the on-campus interview which consisted of back-to-back 45-minute personality 'fit' interviews. One with a partner, and the other with a manager. Nothing too technical, but be expected to be called out if you have any BS on your resume. I was called later that week with an offer to attend a super-day in the New York office. A few weeks later, they put me up in the Grand Hyatt next to Grand Central Station. The super day was very short (4 hours I think?). Consisted of a lunch, a video intro, and two, back-to-back partner interviews. Pretty similar to the first round, only these guys were very, very experienced, and knew how to gauge your ability. I'd recommend knowing exactly what you're there for, and gearing your resume towards interpersonal skills foremost and then back it up with technical ability (I was interviewing for Financial Services which is fairly competitive in the NYC office).

Interview Questions

  • Well the second interview managed a hedge fund prior to coming to PwC, so the first thing he asked was a cryptic question regarding the current state of the capital markets and why I think it would be a good time to be a consultant in that industry.   1 Answer

As an intern I did not attempt negotiations.
