    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Ready Pac Foods (Irwindale, CA).

    Interview

I applied online for the position. There was an initial video conference screening where most of the questions were related my previous experience and how I could benefit the company. After a couple weeks, I was taken for an in-person interview at their facility in Irwindale, CA in May 2017. They were very hospitable - paid for air transport, hotel and ground transportation. I went with a group and they made sure we all got along well. There was a facility tour followed by 2 rounds of interviews. Both were focused on my resume and past experience / knowledge in the field.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Ready Pac Foods.

    Interview

Received a LinkedIn message requesting my resume and a meet for coffee. Met with a director over coffee for 2 hours. Asked very detailed questions. Told I would meet with the President within a week. Then received a text message explaining unexpected travel had delayed the meeting. Contacted 4 weeks later to meet with the same director and a category manager in the office. Told I would meet with the President within a week. A month later asked for my resume, because the President was coming into town, and this was misplaced. Requested my availability. No response again.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ready Pac Foods.

    Interview

I am reporting my experience and the concerns that I had about the company committing to schedule me for the next steps in the interview process but then never following up or getting back to me. My impression is that my initial meeting/interview with the Chief HR Officer went really well and there seemed to be interest on both sides. During that session, he shared that he would follow-up on scheduling the next step to meet with other members of the leadership team. I followed-up with him directly (per his request) and with other members of the HR team yet there was absolute silence from the company. There was no follow-up or updates as to the recruitment progress and not even any closure that could be shared in the event that I was no longer being considered as a candidate. To go from seeming interest during one interview to zero communication seems very odd and inappropriate as it generates a negative candidate experience which is even more unfortunate when this negative experience is for a potential HR candidate. You would think that would be the type of candidate you'd least likely give a negative candidate experience to.

    Manager Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ready Pac Foods in June 2015.

    Interview

The recruiter kept calling to conduct a phone interview. We finally connecting and my phone screen was for about an hour.
The recruiter was so excited to move forward and even scheduled time to meet with the senior leadership. I later was advised that supposedly the management was not available. After all the commotion and phone, energy, and time spent, I never heard back from the recruiter or the senior leadership.

Ready Pac left a long lasting negative impression. As a manager at a thriving organization, I will ensure this does not happen at the place I work.
