    Interview

I applied online. About a week later, I called and asked if they had taken a look at my application. They asked for my name and told me to come in the next day for an interview. The questions were fairly simple, but I would do a little preparation before. I think most of the locations use the same questions, because the comments on here were basically identical to what I got asked (super helpful so thanks everyone!) the First Lady I interviewed with was awesome and made me feel super comfortable, and told me to come in for a second interview the next day. The second interview asked very similar questions to the first, there was one that I got tripped up on a little but other than that it was pretty simple and I'm like 95% positive that if you get a second interview you've pretty much got the job (as long as you don't hugely mess up during it).

    Interview

I receive job postings online from Indeed. After applying for the prep cook position I was notified by email to call the Jacksonville, NC location between 1 pm and 4 pm to speak with the manager and to set up an interview. I called at 1:19 pm and was put on hold for 15 minutes. When the person on the other line answered back, I was informed the manager was in an interview and was told the manager would call me back that night or the next day. I left my name and phone number. I called back the next day around 2 pm. and was told the manager was not in and to call back the next day to speak with the manager on duty at 2:45 pm. At 4:44 pm the same day I received an email from Red Lobster stating, " After careful consideration, they were not able to offer me a position." What I am wondering is how they carefully considered me when the manager didn't even take the time to talk with me?

    Interview Questions

    • There were not questions by the interviewing manager, only the person who answered the phone. She asked what position I was applying for.   1 Answer

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Red Lobster (Suitland, MD) in June 2017.

    Interview

Applied online. Called back to check on my application status and scheduled an interview. I also received an email saying they wanted to interview me after I called them. Went to my 1st interview and it went great. They asked the usual interview questions. Set up the second interview with the general manager the next day at the same time. When I got there, the manager said she didn't do interviews on Friday with a lot of attitude so we rescheduled. Even thought the lady I interviewed with said she talked to the manager and said it was a good time. Didn't want to go to the second interview because I felt that was rude & unprofessional. But I deceived to go since I needed a job & money. The interview went great & the general manager even apologized several times for the miscommunication.

    Prep Cook/Dishwasher Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Lufkin, TX

    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Red Lobster (Lufkin, TX) in April 2017.

    Interview

Had first interview with the restaurant manager to review application information to make sure all information submitted was correct. The manager then proceeded to ask situational questions that included different scenarios that would occur in the job restaurant and how I would handle those situations. I also had a second interview with the general manager, which included different scenario questions in which I had to tell her my handling of those situations. Since I was applying for a position in the kitchen I prepared a an entree and side dish for the second interview to show that I was capable of the position in which I was applying for, since the position called for being crossed training in all positions in the kitchen.
