The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Red Lobster (Morgantown, WV) in February 2009.

Interview

Rather informal interview during the opening of the restaurant. I had initially applied for a Server position, but the request was sidestepped and they offered a kitchen position. I interviewed with a manager, then the General Manager on two separate days. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Interview Questions

  • How would you handle a situation in which you witnessed another employee breaking our code of conduct? Who would you contact? Why?   Answer Question

Negotiation

It's an hourly position, so if you have availability restrictions, stick to them. I was tested on several occasions on this point. Rate is not highly negotiable, but you may be able to squeeze an extra $0.50 out of them.
