Interview

Phone interview with HR. Phone interview with hiring manager. All day on site interview with presentation. Recruiter calls me saying they want to move forward, and despite already providing five references they insist on speaking to my current supervisor. I don't think this is a reasonable demand, and after discussing with the recruiter and a few others they take some time to consider and ultimately rule against me.

    Interview

HR interview was great! Lots of scientific questions and I really enjoyed it. But the Hiring manager was dull. Despite answering all question, no call to visit Regeneron! Only upon sending several emails, the rejection email was sent by the HR. No feedback!

    Interview

Phone interview. Russian English, super fast and super heavy accent. You have to go back to ask the question again and again. Some questions are really not respective. You can feel the arrogance.

    Interview Questions

    • The hiring manager keep challenging me where and how you learned your immunology although I have Nature Immunology and other high impact papers.   Answer Question

    • Difficult: What things can you do in Regeneron to advance your scientific career?
Unexpected: Tell me something creasy you did last month.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (New York, NY) in January 2015.

    Interview

Phone interview with the hire manager. HR first called me and asked me typical questions like whether or not I want to relocate, when can I be available, do I need the sponsorship, etc. Then, she provided me a few time for the phone interview with the HM.

Friendly and professional people, good scientists, probably a good place to work. I was impressed with the facility. The interview was well organized/hosted. I have meet 15 people and all of them were nice to me. Free parking, expensive area.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (Tarrytown, NY).

    Interview

Seems to be a standard interview process. I submitted my Resume on line. One month later, initial contacts by HR and then followed by a 30 min phone interview from the hiring manager. On-site interview one month later, presentation/seminar and interviewed with ~10 people from management team and lunch with potential co-workers.

A lot of behavioral questions and since this is my first interview like ever, guess I didn't prepare enough examples.

No offer, notified after 2 weeks or so after the interview.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (Tarrytown, NY) in May 2014.

    Interview

Applied online, got phone screen with HR after one month. Then phone screen with hiring manager in 2 weeks. Invited for on-site interview the following month. It was full day, met with HR and people of various level and also gave a talk. Most people I talked to seemed nice enough. Was told I would hear back in two weeks after they interviewed another candidate. Did not hear anything after 3 weeks so contacted hiring manger and was told it was actually 4 weeks and not 2 weeks. Well, 5 or 6 weeks after the on-site interview I got a call from hiring manager saying I'm the preferred candidate but still want me to do another on site interview and give another talk. I obliged and did all that again and was told I should hear back in 2 weeks. Never heard a word from them since. All this for an entry level PhD scientist that was asking for 0-3 yrs of experience! And I have way more experience than that.
