Customer Service Consultant Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON (Canada)
No Offer
Negative Experience
Difficult Interview

Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Rogers Communications (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in September 2016.

Interview

First, apply online. Then get email invitation to do a timed online "assessment", which was actually quite fun--it was a computer simulation of customers calling in with complaints or problems with their service. Then got email invite to a phone interview. Passed that and then got an email invite for an in person interview. The interviewer reminded me of Ivanka Trump, and was very cold and corporate. You have to know how to answer their script. I was not prepared for it and bombed.

    Interview

Fill online assessment, then phone call with many questions, then onsite interview. I think the interviewer is not so good and not polite. She even judged you. A horror interview experience.
The company is professional and nice though.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Rogers Communications (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in September 2015.

    Interview

I had applied online on Saturday, and if you are passed through their screening process they send you an online assessment which tests your competency. (Tuesday) I received a call before I finished my assessment from HR. I was told in detailed about the job description and questions asking about my flexibility and the hours I am to work if I am offered the job. After I was scheduled in for an in person interview the next day. (Wednesday) You are to finish the assessment before you go into the interview. I felt that the interview was pleasant, the interviewer made me feel comfortable even though I was really nervous. You HAVE to PREPARE. There are a lot of behavioural and situational questions. After the interview I was told to complete an application for a background check within 24hours and that if I were to be hired, they would let me know by Friday. Heard from them the next day (Thursday)

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Rogers Communications (Brampton, ON (Canada)) in August 2011.

    Interview

The interview process at Rogers was quick and thorough. The HR Recruiters are well trained and very polite. The interview consisted of a telephone interview the day before the one on one and a background check. If there is an "Urgent" position open you can expect to hear back within a few hours once the face to face interview has taken place. If you apply at the right time once the position has posted you are lucky. I would say that applying for a position and hearing back is kind like winning the lottery. Rogers is one of Canda's top 100 employers and that is 100% true.
