    Translator Interview

Anonymous Employee in Montreal, QC (Canada)
    Accepted Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at SDL (Montreal, QC (Canada)).

    Interview

Regular questions as it would be the case in any interview. What are your strenghts and weaknesses, why should we select you as a candidate and where do you see yourself in 5 years. There was no tricky question. There was a normal translation test to be done on site, as it is always the case with translator's position. Overall, an easy interview. One small point was intimidating: the fact that 2 group of people was interviewing rather than just one person.

    Project Manager - Localization Interview

Anonymous Employee in Montreal, QC (Canada)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SDL (Montreal, QC (Canada)) in July 2012.

    Interview

Phone interview with very few, basic questions. Fill out a questionnaire that is emailed to you on how you would handle hypothetical situations. If they like your responses, it will be followed by an in-person interview with the HR Manager, 1-2 Principal Managers and Program Manager. If you move to the next stage, they will ask for your references (2) but they will not be called. Instead your references have to fill out a questionnaire to submit back. You will also be required to take an on-line PPA assessment (personality type test).

They sent me an offer in writing as I requested, and I responded with a counter.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SDL (Montreal, QC (Canada)) in October 2015.

    Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Montreal, QC (Canada)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at SDL (Montreal, QC (Canada)) in August 2016.

    Interview

1 Answer
