    The atmosphere was laid back. They asked a lot of easy questions. It was mostly a test of how well I would fit in socially with my supervisors and whether I would be happy sitting at a computer editing pdf files for the majority of the work day. They were very nurturing.

    The interview process of getting a part time position at San Francisco State is not tedious. Eligible students can apply through Gator jobs and then interviews are not so hard. Reference always helps so make sure you are in good terms with your seniors.

    I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at SF State University.

    Interview

    The first part of the interview is a two hour long process where you mark up a sample student's paper as if you were the teacher. They want to see a) your approach and rationale to assessing and commenting on student writing and b) your familiarity with common ESL grammatical issues, as well as your pedagogical approach to grammar teaching.

    The second part of the interview will be a f2f interview with a 6 member CMS committee.

    I was called for an on-site interview. When I arrived, I was taken into the conference room. I was asked to introduce my self. Most of the questions were based on my resume and the previous experience I had as an office assistant and a driver. I had driving experience of more than 6 years so that was a plus point.
