Customer Experience Live Support Agent Interview

      Sep 23, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Vancouver, BC
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Slack (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2017

      Interview

Email received by HR Recruiter asking that I complete a written assignment within 24 hours. Next came the phone interview by an amazing lady in the HR department. She was really impressed with my skill set and the completed written assignment. She moved me on to one of the Customer Success Managers. The phone interview was fine, he even explained the next process but I felt others were listening as I heard people speaking in background. I didn't move on from there and could not get an answer as to why. I have a great customer service and tech background. They admitted that many of their agents have less experience than myself. Perhaps they are only looking for Millenials, not sure! :(

Customer Experience - Live Support Agent Interview

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Vancouver, BC) in May 2016

      Interview

Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn to see if I would be interested in joining the team. I was interested to see what they were looking for and whether I would have something to offer. I spoke briefly with the recruiter on the phone as the initial screening process. Was given a written assessment to see how I would conform to Slack's "voice". Afterwards, invited to another phone call with 2 of the department managers. I was given a courtesy email that I did not meet what they were looking for, however have not yet received a response when I requested what points I could have worked on and where I did not meet their expectations. All in all, very standard process with tech companies to see if you would conform to their culture. I would have appreciated a follow up as I took the time to speak with the recruiter when they reached out.
