Director Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in San Francisco, CA
No Offer
Negative Experience
Average Interview

Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (San Francisco, CA) in August 2017.

Interview

Had initial interview with Practice Director and Managing Director and went pretty smooth. The recruiter reached out to set up next steps with leadership team in Silicon valley. Over the next 3 weeks he tried scheduling and then suddenly fell off the radar! No communication or response back from either the recruiter or the two interviewees. This was extremely unprofessional to leave a candidate hanging without any communication esp. when they were trying to schedule next steps. Will recommend anyone going through SF or Silicon Valley job interview to ensure the process is completed within a week or two.

Thank you for the feedback. To have not been given due follow-up is indeed unprofessional and out of alignment with the kind of experience we hope to give all of our candidates. We regret to hear... More

Thoughtful conversations with a wide variety of team members. They were intentional about the questions they asked, and gave a great perspective on their roles at Slalom. I truly enjoyed my interview experience and felt like it helped me get to know the team, and gave me all the information I needed to make the right career decision.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Slalom (Saint Louis, MO) in October 2015.

    Interview

I met with three regional leaders and spoke with three outside employees in similar roles in other markets. We were early hires in this market so at the time, not many local colleagues.

    Interview Questions

    • There was no off the wall questions, but all were purposeful and relevant to what it takes to open a new market for a management and technology consulting firm. Also was quite personal, spent a lot of time getting to know me and my interest, making sure it is right for me as much as it about me being right for them. A different, but great interview experience!   Answer Question
