    Field Service Technician Interview

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Source Refrigeration & HVAC (Fort Myers, FL) in May 2016.

    Interview

Very informal, but you do have to take a technical assessment test. It's not pass or fail. It's just used to assign your tech level. The service manager was very open to fitting me in for an interview on my schedule due to the fact that I am already employed and didn't have much free time, he stayed late one night to talk to me.

    Interview Questions

    • General rack questions. The service manager is very technical and can smell out a BS guy pretty easy.   1 Answer

    At Corp HQ Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer

    Interview

Professional environment, office was hot though- an offer of water would've been nice. Manager seemed stuffy - couldn't tell if I would like working for this person. After interview, I sent the customary thank you letter but received no response. Finally 1 month later, I heard that they had chosen someone else.

It was really hard to assess the company's culture based on this one interview. If I had been invited back, I would've liked a tour and to meet more people so I could get a better sense of what it's like to work there.
