Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk in June 2015.

Interview

Short sweet and too the point. Not an easy interview but for this type of job it shouldn't be. Management team was professional, courteous, prompt and to the point. Culture is a huge part of the interview process. Do your research and understand that going in, if you don't think you would like the culture then don't bother.

Interview Questions

  • Typical questions, "tell me about time when...." that sort of thing but a lot of "cross examining" questions to make sure you are on point.   2 Answers

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk in April 2019.

    Interview

Interviewed with a couple of the internal recruiters, hiring manager, and then two peers. I had a very good impression and call with the hiring manager. The internal recruiting manager had screened me on salary expectations confirming I was in range. Strangely, I was now doing calls with peers. Just prior to this step the recruiter called and said the salary expectation was about half of what was discussed & am I still interested. This did not make any sense. The call with the first peer was a good exchange of information but a description of only 1 out of 60 making their number & his territory was changed three times in under a year impacting that. the second peer call began with him providing multiple insults. It looks like a great product but the recruiting process is broken.
