State Farm Software Engineer Interview Questions

First round was phone call with manager for overview and background. Second round was video and coding exercise to examine the technicality. Third round was called on onsite technical round.

Hacker rank test that took 45 minutes, instructions were hard to follow not a great experience overall. The python question I got had poor language and looked like it was meant to be coded out in a different language.

I applied through State Farm's website. A week after applying I received an invite to complete a Hirevue interview. I had 10 days to complete the Hirevue Interview. The interview consisted of 3 behavioral questions and a coding challenge . The coding challenge was using Python and did not have a time limit. Three weeks later I had a 1 hr virtual interview with two members of the team that I was interviewing for. The interview was mostly behavioral questions. I received an offer the following week. The background check took a week to complete. I had a positive experience interviewing with State Farm! State Farm did a good job at keeping me in the loop throughout the interview process.

Only got a virtual interview and the questions were tech-based but did not really allow me to show what I know. Could not get passed the virtual interview that was just me answering prompts they provided.

Online interview where you record your answers to various questions. If you fumbled your words or you didn’t like your response, you were allowed to re-record each answer one time. It was followed by a coding challenge to manipulate some json data.

personality screening done via robo phone (kind of annoying wish they used an actual recruiter) then an online program testing while being recorded lastly interview with personnel on the team you would be getting hired onto.

IT was a hirevie online interview. It had 2 behaviour questions and one techical code question. The code question was extreemly hard, Something you would see on a leet code hard category. I did not know how to do it.

The email is very responsive a couple of days after application. The tools for digital interview is friendly and easy to use. There are practice questions and testing the hardware before real interview.

Interview process was smooth. I was interviewed for a Software developer (Java) consulting role through Accenture and first two technical interviews were conducted by Accenture team and once selected, there was a hiring manager round.
