    Sales Engineer Interview

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sun Microsystems (Mountain View, CA) in April 2009.

    Interview

A lengthy process that fishes out the best from the pool. There are no 2nd stringers within the team -- it is a place to be a proud employee if chosen. Early Sun was the true excitement of any computer scientist: new technologies released almost weekly, quality products, and easy to become passionate about.

    Interview Questions

    • Many. The interview process is, as mentioned, lengthy. As such, it is one of the most difficult entries in the market.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sun Microsystems in March 2009.

    Interview

I got an email from the hiring manager who my friend had passed my resume to. She was very nice. The people setting up the interview gave me the wrong address to go to - I went to the address of the office, when I needed to go to the front desk. The parking lot was huge as well -- leave lots of extra time. I interviewed with several people, one after the other, one on one.
