    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group in November 2016.

    Interview

Only got the phone screening interview. I just got asked questions about the job and why it applies to me and what I would be doing in the future with this job. The interviewee was really talkative and obviously show her passion for the job. Got an email a week later saying they moved onto other candidates.

    Interview

HR calls you asking about resume. next call is with another HR asking questions on market and some expected probability questions.
Overall, the interviewers were pretty pleasant except the second interviewer seemed a little fake.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group.

    Interview

Pretty terrible experience overall. Interviewer was not very nice, playing a phone game for part of the interview, pretty condescending and asked a lot of really irrelevant questions (why I wasn't in specific campus club, why did I need to pursue work-study grants, etc) and lots of technicals from beginning of interview. Some math/probability questions.

    Interview Questions

    • How do you determine if a company is overvalued? Why are you not in the investment club? What happens if the offered stock price of a company that is just about to be acquired is higher than that of the market price?   Answer Question

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group in October 2016.

    Interview

First round HR person called me and ask about my thesis projects, but after second round interview, I decide to withdraw my application. The interviewer has no patience in clarifying questions and show no respect. After I correctly answered two simple probability questions, he asked me if I was using a computer to look for the answer. I was clearly insulted as I have been speaking to him to demonstrate my thought process, although he gave little feedback. I was applying for a quantitative research position, but they find an arrogant HR person to ask me probability questions. Very unpleasant interview process

    Interview

Just realized that from stats on Glassdoor, they are not hiring researchers for years. Hope I did not waste my time on them. Superdayed at HQ.
    Pros:
    1. people are smart and brainteasers are interesting. They know how to dig into the bottom of the questions, almost as interesting as those I encountered during my superday with JSC.
    2. people are also nice and not in a pretentious way
    3. Employee backgrounds are very comprehensive
    Cons:
    1. first round behavior phone interview with HR randomly filtered out qualified people (hearsay) I mean really random.
    2. Free lunch is very cheap. Yes it might be there just to make sure you are not leaving building for lunch. ChickFillA sandwiches stuff and salad bar.
    3. Crowed office/floor plan. Not even cubicle but desks connected end to end.
    4. Even in such crowed office, I am shocked that people are not communicating or discussing with others. In a long line to grab my lunch, observed that there were very few talks among their employees if there was any. Everyone is like emotionless robots...
    5. Below industrial package (hearsay_
    6. not that good non-compete
    7. the hotel they put you in for the superday is below below average, even if the next door is a double-tree
    8. Too many 'white' lies from HR people this is where they are above industrial average. Feels short of respect.

    Software Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group (Bala Cynwyd, PA) in October 2016.

    Interview

Few days after applying I received an email asking for a phone interview to discuss my resume and qualifications. The next day I received an email asking for a technical phone interview (which did not involve writing code online). Two days later I was invited to a super day on-site, which consisted of: a 45 min project done alone, followed by a 45 min technical interview discussing the project, then a 45 min interview with other engineers about my background, then lunch with the hiring manager discussing the intern program, followed by a tour. Later that night everyone was invited to a dinner at a nice restaurant. In general the day was fun and a pleasant experience. None of the questions were even remotely difficult and the engineers and staff were very friendly.

    Interview Questions

    • Phone interview: how would you reverse a string. On-site: project that involved reading an input file and searching for information   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group (Philadelphia, PA) in October 2016.

    Interview

2 rounds of phone screens followed by an on-site in Philly

Phone screens were 3 questions a piece, on-site there was a group problem solving session and time spent with traders. Everyone is super friendly and the questions are rather easy so don't be too worried. They also will help you and I stumbled a little but still moved on as long as you get the concepts of the questions and the way to solve it, your actual algebra isn't the most important thing

    Interview Questions

    • Fit questions, resume questions, bayes (a lot of bayes), probability questions, recurrence relations questions etc. Was asked not to say but mostly everything was similar to stuff already on Glassdoor   Answer Question

    Interview

Gave resume to SIG representative at campus career fair. Had an initial phone interview for SWE role, but I indicated I was more interested in trading. Got a second phone interview for trading a week later, which included some behavioral questions and 3 math problems - invited to an onsite interview about 2 weeks later. Ran through two desk rotations, a fun "group interview," and an individual interview with behaviorals and about 6 math questions.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group (Philadelphia, PA) in October 2016.

    Interview

First Round was pretty much just HR and background information chat on campus
Second was a technical phone interview. Pretty straightforward
Third was SIGma day on site interview which was a sum of a coding test and 3 back to back interviews. These interviews were white board programming style with followup questions

    Interview Questions

    • Check if a string is a permutation of a palindrome without using any other data structure   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group (New York, NY) in September 2016.

    Interview

First round, the HR people calls me to setup phone interview. There are total two rounds. First round is with a member of the quant team. I did well on the first round, then they gave me a data exercise which took me a week to complete and turns out to be totally wast of time. They didn't care about your exercise. The second round is similar like the first round and I got wrong on the second problem out of 3 total. Get rejected after the second round.

    Interview Questions

    • If you are playing tennis and are at deuce with your rival, how would you choose to proceed? There are two options: keep playing deuce rule until you or your rival wins. Or you play 3 mini points rule, who win 2 points wins the game. Assume you winning rate is 0.7 i.i.d at each point, which rule would you pick?   2 Answers
