    Teller I Interview

Anonymous Employee in Toronto, ON (Canada)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in May 2016.

    Interview

If you have no experience in a professional or a novice in the banking industry I would not advise you to work for this company. The structure of the company makes sense to grow, however: there is no job security or second chances when it comes to making your quarterly financial goals that unattainable in my opinion. Not enough money for required work given as Teller was my experience. I left work everyday with a headache.

    Interview

I went in for an interview and they had me interview for two positions simultaneously... the other position was a brand new role, and I had never applied for and did not want it. All my answers had to apply to both positions. It was messy and confusing.

    Branch Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Ottawa, ON (Canada)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TD (Ottawa, ON (Canada)) in February 2016.

    Interview

Applied online. Went through phone screen with HR person from Toronto. It was a very thorough screen. Asked the usual screen questions plus behavioural questions as well. Took about an hour.
Then had in person interview with DVP and another HR person. The interview felt more like an interrogation than an interview. I guess they don't get the idea that anyone sitting across the table from them could be a potential client or actually be a client (or an actual human being).

    Interview Questions

    • What 5 words would your mother use to describe you? Was a bit odd. The DVP deviated from the questionnaire the HR person was reading from quite a bit.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TD (Markham, ON (Canada)) in August 2015.

    Interview

I just handed in my resume in the branch and coincidentally they were hiring CSR for their branch. I was sent Assessment of Personality from HR before my interview. The whole hiring process last for 1hr, very intense as the interviewer has a few sheets of paper which were full of interviewing questions. Lead Teller Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TD in August 2013.

    Interview

This was a phone interview and it was the worst one I have ever had. First off this person set this up to tell me that I'm not qualified. The questions that were asked were not normal questions. She wanted to know how much money was in the vault, ATM and teller line . How many transactions were made , sales goals. All the while she kept on saying that she was going to call my former manger and HR to find out if I was in fact a Teller Supervisor. She then explained what I would be doing (Figure head Manger) Disciplining the teller to the point of firing them and taking that responsibility off the manager. This person was rude and she wasted my time. They had no intention on offering me any job, No reason for interview. I would offer a bit of advice to anyone seeking employment with this company to BEWARE.

    Interview Questions

    • Having an interview with someone, who has already decided that your not qualified. The unexpected question were the ones about the value of the Vault, ATM and teller cash.   Answer Question

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON (Canada)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in April 2012.

    Interview

I was contacted by a staffing agency that i had registered with, went thru two interviews with them first to verify my knowledge in finance and languages (bilinguale was a requirement)
after that I had a phone interview with someone from TD. which then led to face to face interview in TD headquarters, the interview setting was a bit intimidating they invited me to a very small room where ther was a desk and two chairs. (I'm nota shy person and im not usually worried about this kind of think) this was a really small room where any one would feel uncomfortable I was interviewed by two people in that room and had maybe 1 foot distance - first was the interview in english then the second one in french.

    Interview Questions

    • I was asked some very though questions. but mainly behavioural ones.   Answer Question
