    Bank Teller Interview

    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TD (New York, NY) in November 2016.

    Interview

I applied online and got contacted by a recruiter via email. I gave them the times I was available and they called for for a 10 minute phone interview. I scheduled and interview a few days later and interviewed with the head teller and the assistant manager. They were so friendly and made it so easy for me to answer the questions. I think they really was looking for someone to fill the position because although I have good answers they kinda finished off my answers for me and I'm just like "umm yea that's exactly what I meant" lol. I was contacted a week later and got offered a position.

    Interview Questions

    • Explain to me how you would convince me to get a credit card.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

They offered me $1.50 more than what I was currently making so I accepted.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at TD.

    Interview

Long and drawn out! The actual interviews weren't that nerve wracking but it took about 4 months for them to interview and make a decision. I had a phone interview, a few one on ones, and group interviews. The whole process seemed like no one wanted to take responsibility for hiring. But I finally did get an offer.

    Interview Questions

    • Actually was more of a conversation rather than a Q&A interview. The interviews were the easy part.   Answer Question

    Fixed Income Summer Analyst Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TD (New York, NY) in November 2016.

    Interview

I submitted my application to the Fixed Income Summer Analyst Program in early October 2016. I did not hear from HR until mid November. I did a 30 minute phone interview. The phone interview was great. My interviewer and I really connected. She asked me about myself and based questions off of my resume. Since I have had a previous internship in Banking she did ask me what I thought about the markets. But nothing was technical.

I heard back about 2 weeks later telling me I was invited to a Superday in 4 days. The Superday process at TD was phenomenal. Me and the other interviewees were given the opportunity to speak with one of their full time analysts before the interviews began. Then I had 5 interviews all with different people from S&T and DCM. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely interested in what I had to say. I definitely felt wanted. There were no crazy technical questions. Most interviewers just asked about my opinions on the markets or what I thought the main issues were this year and the coming year. They are very culture based, so they did ask me behavioral questions because they wanted to make sure I would be a good fit.

I left feeling great and received an email from HR 50 minutes after walking out asking me to take a call, and they offer me the job. TD was an overall amazing experience.

    Interview Questions

    • Tell me about the markets?
What are your opinions on the markets this year?
What do you believe are 3-4 big events globally that affected the markets?
Why should I hire you? Why should I not hire?
      Why TD?

    Interview

It was pretty straight forward. Had a HR contact me and schedule phone interview . The phone interview was conducted by another person and asked about my goals and how I saw myself in TD. And than the interview ended with them sayingg they would contact me back. Afterwards I was given a choice to banks that had openings for me to be interviewed by a store manager. I was than interviewed by a store manager and was told I would be offered a position by the HR and I was than offically hired and negotiated my salary.

    Interview

The interview was pretty easy as they were short staffed on tellers because of their very high turnover rate. So they are willing to hire just about anyone who isn't a criminal.
