    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TMW Systems (Cleveland, OH) in April 2010.

    Interview

I was a bit put off - a friend had referred me to come in to discussing a technical position and what I was looking for, with his manager, so I was expecting more of an informal meeting, but the interviewing manager took a more formal approach that was clearly one sided including testing me on my technical knowledge. I wouldn't normally mind this, but there was a vibe of you-need-us-more-than-we-need-you, which is a turn off in any interview situation, let alone a meeting I thought was going to be more "even leveled". Based on this "interview", I concluded, that this may be a company where management thinks they "own" their employees. Just a hunch of course! My advice, ask plenty questions, and see how they talk about their employees, and how respectful they are to you.

    Interview Questions

    • There wasn't really a specific question that I thought was overly difficult or unexpected, if I have to describe one, it would be "give me an example of a time when you didn't meet a deadline?", I was mostly surprised by the bland tone and feel especially at the start of the interview.   Answer Question
