Electronics Team Member Interview

Anonymous Employee in Fort Wayne, IN
Accepted Offer
Positive Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target (Fort Wayne, IN) in November 2019.

Interview

The hiring process is not thorough enough to warrant a full-time job at the location. The truth is that they hire a lot of young people still in college but not beyond. I was impressed with their ability to handle gender issues, by employing a young Afro woman to manager, but her handle on the actual work was poor. And, she was the one who decided not to hire me permanently. So, there is some favoritism towards ethnicities.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Target (Union, NJ) in September 2018.

    Interview

Very basic questions that give hints toward your skill set and experience with customer service. Sat at a desk in an office one on one with a hiring manager. The process was meant to be fun. No overbearing questions and you fill out a worksheet on what you’d do in certain situations with customers. And then they verbally ask you about it.

    Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Target (Chandler, AZ) in July 2018.

    Interview

You apply online or with an application paper or at a booth if your store has one.
You get called in for an interview within the first week via phone.
You get two interviews. First one is with the team leader of that department. (The electronics team leader in the chandler west santan store in arizona is very intimidating and she is the reason i had most of my problems while working at target)

First interview I did badly mostly because I just couldn't get a rhythm with her.
Second interview was with HR and I got along very well and directly after the interview she offered me the job.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Modesto, CA) in May 2018.

    Interview

There was 3 different stages of interviews with the third being more of an introduction to HR. There was a rather small number of questions per interview, somewhere around 5-6 thus making each interview rather short but there was definitely an expectation that you would have expanded answers.

    Interview Questions

    • Name a time where you had to face a difficult situation.   1 Answer

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Stamford, CT) in April 2018.

    Interview

Interview process was relatively long and boring, consisted of 3-4 interviews (depending on your position) and you'd have to wait about 30-40 minutes in between each one, so bring some earbuds. If you did get a 2nd interview, then it means you basically got the job, but they'll ask you more in depth questions, so be ready
