Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN).

Interview

Interview process is heavy on canned interview questions, and tends to focus little on the job at hand. Overall process took a couple weeks between screening interviews, onsite interview, schedule coordination. It was nice that the one onsite interview is the final interviewing step in the process and you have a chance to interview with several likely leadership colleagues.

Interview Questions

  • Describe a situation where you failed, what were the contributing factors and what did you differently as a result.   Answer Question

Negotiation

Casual negotiation proposals were mostly skirted by recruiter. Would have liked to negotiate harder, but I was eager to take the job. Key topics to consider negotiating: vacation time and benefit cost offset.
