Difficult Interview

Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target in April 2013.

Interview

I attended an on-campus career fair and was able to give my resume to a Target liaison. I then went through a preliminary phone screening, then an on-campus interview, then an interview at the Target District Office, and then a final phone interview with a Regional Manager. Although the process was extremely nerve wracking for me, each person I talked to was incredibly encouraging and helped put me at ease. As far as interview questions go, they were mostly behavioral (i.e. Describe a time you made a mistake).

Interview Questions

  • Describe a time when you had to defend a decision you made.   Answer Question

Negotiation

I was not able to negotiate. I was offered a flat fee of $16.50 per hour.
