    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at The Annie E. Casey Foundation (Baltimore, MD).

    Interview

First I had a telephone screen with an Human Resource representative. Then I interviewed with the team director for more than an hour and then interviewed with the vice president. Later I met with other members of the team, and then finally with HR again to discuss the process and next steps.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at The Annie E. Casey Foundation in February 2015.

    Interview

I received an email to set up a phone interview about a month after I applied. The interview was pretty standard, I actually felt like I knew more about the foundation's work than the woman who interviewed me. About a week later they emailed me to set up an in-person interview. They only offered one date when I was already committed to an activity for my current job. I reassured them that I could make any other date and was still interested in the job. I was told to hold a different date and then never heard back, despite following up. To my knowledge the job still has not been filled.

    Interview Questions

    • Very generic interviewing 101 questions- What type of experience do you have in this type of work? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?   Answer Question

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at The Annie E. Casey Foundation.

    Interview

I received an email to set up an interview a few weeks after the closing date. The interview was conducted first over the phone with an HR representative. The interview was relatively short lasting about 20 minutes as it was a first round interview with very general questions. About a week later I received a phone call to set up a second interview asking me to come in person the next day, however this being a long-distance job search I was unable to travel on such short notice. After not hearing back for several weeks I received a phone call stating they chose a different candidate because they were unable to schedule a time with enough notice for me to travel to interview in person and were unable to work out the technology to interview over skype.

    Interview Questions

    • Most of the questions were generic interview questions: Where do you see yourself in 5-years? What type of experience do you have in this type of work? Tell me about a time when a work situation did not go as planned and how did you react?   Answer Question

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Annie E. Casey Foundation (Baltimore, MD) in May 2012.

    Interview

They invited me once for a 30-minute one to one interview. Only the intern's potential supervisor was there. The process was pretty smooth and the called me two weeks later saying that I was picked. The intern orientation was pretty great as well. The HR people and the employees there were nice as well.
