pre interview with human resources usually run through overview of position, have you take a personality test, meet with direct manager and assistant manager (usually a 2:1 interview) then meet with next level up manager (eg RVP) for 1:1 to gain his/her feedback. If this goes well it is usually a formality that you are a good fit and job will be offered. Process is rather long and if right job not open but they like you they truly will keep you in their pipeline and tell you so. I was interviewed initially in September but was their 2nd choice candidate got called back in April of following year.
