Easy Interview

Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (New York, NY).

Interview

2*30 minutes back to back very nice interviewers but you need to understand what kind of people they are looking for. Communication which I don't think a key for long term development.

Interview Questions

    Interview

It took about 1-2 weeks till they replied and scheduled for an interview. I did not get the offer but my friend got to the 3rd interview round. The job seems to be like a phone call/ customer call for solution. Not remarkable.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (San Francisco, CA) in July 2016.

    Interview

    Incredibly disorganized and unnecessarily elongated...

I applied to the company in the beginning of June, and heard back maybe a week after I applied. The recruiter set up a phone interview and asked basic behavioral questions. I didn't hear back for another two weeks, even though I emailed asking for an update. When I was finally scheduled for a panel interview, I went in and witnessed a lot of disorganization. The room for our interview wasn't booked, and we were hoping from place to place looking for a space. Furthermore, though it was supposed to be a panel interview, I only interviewed with one employee, and waited for the other employee to get our of her meeting. Eventually, she interviewed me, but talked more about herself than presenting me with any substantial questions; it came off as curt and disrespectful. I just felt a lot of disorganization from the company and was disappointed that a company with this much clout could have so many missing pieces behind closed doors.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Minneapolis, MN) in October 2015.

    Interview

Talked with them at a University Career Fair about software engineering internships. Gave them my resume, and was emailed a week later to do a phone screen. The interviewer was nice and easy to get along with, and I thought I did pretty well, but after about a week they declined to have me in to do an in person interview.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters.

    Interview

I had two phone interviews, with maybe a week in between. Recruiters were really nice and patient. The questions were mostly personality type ones, with only a few of technical nature. The personality type questions were pretty common ones: describe a project where you had to deal with a person you disliked; did you have any recent big presentation and how did it go; describe a project where you had to use your analytical skills; how did you deal with stress in a project that didn't go very well...

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters in September 2014.

    Interview

Applied for a Software Engineer Intern position online, through their website. I received a phone interview from a member of their technical staff (without prior warning). The interviewer was friendly and asked questions about object-oriented programming and my background. One-two weeks later I received an invitation to come to an onsite interview. Unfortunately, I was asked to pay for my own travel and accommodation for the interview, which I couldn't afford. I had to turn down the interview invite and so I could no longer be considered for the position.
