I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Toast Inc in July 2018.

Interview

Initial phone call I thought went well with what I was telling her about myself. But I guess I just must have been boring Susie Paragett as she was yawning the whole time I was talking to her

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Toast Inc.

    Interview

I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. I did not have a positive experience at all with the interviewer. I found her to be very uninterested in what I was saying to her on the phone, and there were multiple times were I was cut off and could not even finish my sentence. At the end of the phone interview I had several questions, and the hiring manager seemed like she did not want to answer them and would give me one word answers. I was really interested in Toast and their opportunities, but this negative experience has deterred me from pursuing a career here.

Other than that the questions were not really behavioral or asking about yourself. Needed to know a lot of sales and at times the questions were difficult especially for an entry level position for recent graduates....
Also know a lot about the company.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Boston, MA) in February 2019.

    Interview

The interview process for Toast was super smooth and fast! I applied to the role online and heard from a recruiter within 24 hours to setup a phone interview in the coming week. After the interview, I was asked to setup another phone interview with the hiring manager in the coming week. After that, I was asked to setup an in-person interview in the next 2 weeks. The in-person interview lasted just an hour and a half! I heard that night that I got the offer. The recruiters are super helpful and quick to respond, they make sure all your questions are answered and that you're prepared for your next interview. It was super surprising to me that the process moved as quickly as it did, so it was a great experience!

    Interview

I really enjoyed my interview. I first interviewed for business operations which I shortly learned was not a good fit for me, after calling be recruiter, she set me up for a role that we thought would fit my strengths better, which I really appreciated. The hiring process was quick and efficient. The phone interview with the hiring manager was clear, and my onsite interview was filled with information and it truly seemed like they cared about who I was as a person. So far, Toast has been exactly what I thought it would be!

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Omaha, NE) in August 2018.

    Interview

3 rounds. 1) Simple overview. Very casual. 2) Speak with a manager, I was clearly on speaker with others in the room, and you are asked to sell something you're passionate about. Don't overthink it. Be prepared and research specific sales techniques (as suggested by the first interviewer). This is where I tripped up. 3) Meet with all of the managers in the office to see if they all agree you're a good fit

    Interview Questions

    • The big one is selling them something you're passionate about. 1-2 others will be along the lines of "describe a time you accomplished something despite the odds."   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Boston, MA) in September 2018.

    Interview

30 min HR screen + 30 minute manager call + 4 one on one interviews with team members. Very "bro" atmosphere, lots of people couldn't stop talking about the free beer and how much they drink during the week. I understand this is a new part of the work environment these days, but most prospective employees want to see a place that works hard and is healthy. Plenty of other options to choose from in Boston that offer that...

    Interview

I applied for a phone interview at my university's career fair. The interview was only about twenty minutes before leading to 2 additional phone interviews. These consisted of questions such as why toast and common behavioral questions. From there I signed up for a spot as part of a large interview day for college students. That day consisted of a tour, two separate 1 on 1 interviews including a sales pitch based off of articles given prior to the interview, and a meet and greet with current BDRs.
