    Interview

There were two phone interviews before the hiring process. Cindy, my recruiter, did a great job helping me through the process! They originally didn't hire me due their company purchasing another, yet two weeks later, Cindy remembered me and called me back with another opportunity!

The interview process is very casual, and laid back. The interviewers made me feels at ease. I have a skills test, as well as 3 interviews. The interview process is a little lengthy, which is understandable when the goal is to hire the right canditate.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at TurnKey Vacation Rentals (Austin, TX) in November 2015.

    Interview

Interview process took about a week. First there was an initial phone interview, basic pay and job description, opportunity to ask questions. Second phone interview was scheduled for a few days later. More description of the job, the company, more questions about experience, personality, etc. They seemed to be looking for someone that didn't necessarily have much experience but wouldn't mind a very entry-level salary.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at TurnKey Vacation Rentals in October 2017.

    Interview

I applied online and the VP of Marketing emailed me to schedule a phone interview. He said he was impressed with my resume and wanted me to come in on-site, but he ghosted me and would not return my emails or calls to schedule an on-site interview. Two months later, a recruiting coordinator reached out to tell me the job was postponed.

The lack of communication for Turnkey’s hiring process is very unprofessional, especially given that the VP of Marketing asked me to come on-site, but didn’t take the time to email me to let me know the position was postponed. If he was too nice to tell me “no” in the phone interview, he could have at least let me know over email so I wasn’t waiting and twiddling my thumbs in the meantime.

Companies who do this should take a step back and notice how this kind of recruiting can push potential customers away. I would have booked my future vacations with Turnkey if I had been given a respectful experience, but now I’m sticking with Airbnb.

    Interview

Terrible interview process. Phone and then on site. Never heard back, would have at least appreciated a rejection email. Your recruiting department needs some serious work seeing as how it reflects on the entire company. Sour taste in my mouth after meeting with this company.
