    Director of Finance Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Two Roads Hospitality (San Francisco, CA) in December 2014.

    Interview

I was called in with three others to interview for the position. I interviewed with the Director of HR and the General Manager as well as meeting the outgoing DOF. I followed up with Thank you cards the next day. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the outcome. After waiting a week and not hearing anything, I reached out to them. Over the next 3 weeks, I called HR three times and sent two emails asking for an update. Not once was my contact returned. This is a sad company to interview with. Don't pay any attention to the hoopla surrounding Niki Leondakis. Nothing she is promoting is supported by their management team.

People Services Director - Embarcadero Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Two Roads Hospitality (San Francisco, CA) in November 2015.

    Interview

Huge disappointing recruitment process. Received an email that the hiring director was excited to interview me! Asked me to give times / dates. I called back immediately and followed up with an email. The Director did not return my email until a week later - sent another email to me apologizing for not responding and hoped I would have a good Thanksgiving holiday. Asked me to please get back on dates / times for a phone interview. Once again, I did. Did not hear back. Again. Sent me a third email, "Happy Holidays!" and asked for dates / times. For the third time, I forwarded 2 or 3 distinct possibilities, two good phone numbers - and asked to kindly respond so that I could free my own work calendar. Never heard back after 3rd email. No, "I'm sorry" or "We've moved on" or an attempt to schedule. Left me feeling like, "Why?"... with the leadership of Commune - will not respond to any more job announcements. I felt the whole process was somewhat unprofessional and lacked empathy or remote consideration for another professional and their time or interest. In the end, it wasn't meant to be - it's too bad.
