Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Tyco in December 2011.

Interview

Total 5 rounds, first round was a phone screen with the QA manager, asked technical questions about computing, networking, etc. Second phone screen was with a QA Lead from east coast, asked questions regarding work experience on resume, just simply yes or no questions, not technical. Third round was with 2 QAs & 2 developers. Forth round was with 4 dev managers, Fifth round was with dev director.

    Application

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tyco in April 2009.

    Interview

    interview process involved phone screen by HR; a week later called in for face-to-face with 3 executives/directors, 3 developers, 2 qa people; company seemed small (was later acquired by Tyco); seemed like an office about to close/very quiet; people seemed nice enough, but compartimentalized (i.e., focused on their own areas of expertise and not overall business); some seemed uncertain about what their roles were/would be with acquisition; got perception that management was OBN;
