    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Brooklyn, NY) in April 2010.

    Interview

In the Associate Supervisor Program, over 7000 people applied for the 30 supervisor positions. In order to qualify, applicants are required to complete a 180-question exam on mathematics and english. The second portion of the application process typically occurs a week or two later, where the highest scoring applicants are brought into a panel-interview consisting of higher-level managers. The interview process takes roughly 1 hour, consisting of 7-12 questions. Of the 30 potential supervisors in my group, the training phase begins in which failure to complete led to dismissal. The paid training seminars span over 3 months, upon which there is a mid-term exam after the 1st month, and a final exam at the 3rd month. The training seminar and exams are based on Management Studies, Case Studies, Postal Policies in regards to labor management, employee safety, and standard operating procedures, to list a few.
