    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at University of Indianapolis in June 2016.

    Interview

I received a phone call from the Department Head. He covered who he was, told me a little about the department, explained the compensation package (hourly wage and education benefits). Said before bringing me in for an interview he wanted to talk to my current manager to get an idea of what kind of employee I would be. I declined, as my current employer doesn't know I'm looking for another position. I suggested that it made more sense to check references after an interview, but before an offer is made. He called a few days later, left a voice mail that indicated they didn't want a face to face interview.
