I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA) in August 2014.

    Interview

USC has a website for student jobs, including work study and non-work study. Positions vary but most of the libraries hire every semester. I applied to most positions online and received an email back from one or two. I chose to work in the libraries because it was relatively quiet, independent work and I enjoy reading and looking through books. They invited me for an in-person interview (no phone), and offered me the job later that day.
