I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VIPKid (New Orleans, LA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Email inquiry, then brief interview to verify experience, followed by a demo lesson, full training via videos, and a practicum lesson after completing the training. It can be difficult for some, and your rate of pay is based on the demo lesson. However, you can watch loads of videos on youtube form teachers to prepare, and I suggest doing so.
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
