I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VIPKid (Beijing, Beijing) in Dec 2015
Interview
The interview process is convoluted and grueling. If you are unfortunate enough to know how much work it will be, you will be overwhelmed. If you don't know, you will be unprepared. As hard as you work or as much as you prepare, there will be "surprises" that seem unwarranted and unfair. Accepting them during the interview process is the first of many times you will need to do that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They don't really ASK questions-they just have you teach demo lessons.
We are currently working on streamlining the process to help our future applicants and recruitment team. We have been working to consolidate information provided to our future applicants to be more unified and transparent for those interested in joining the VIPKID teaching community.
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
