Reservations Agent Interview

Anonymous Employee in Vail, CO
Accepted Offer
Neutral Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Vail Resorts (Vail, CO) in August 2015.

Interview

It was relatively painless as far as interviews go, the hiring manager used a cheat sheet to ask questions which are standard for most interviews. He actually didn't ask some of the more difficult questions that are often asked. I have been through some tough interviews with major employers this one was no problem, however I wouldn't say that the manager did a good job as he didn't really learn much about me or why I wanted the position nor whether I'd be any good at it.

Interview Questions

  • Asked me to sell the Vail Experience to him.   1 Answer

Negotiation

I did not try to negotiate and that was my bad. The offered salary was pathetic. But this is the case in the resort so I didn't expect much better. I ended up accepting the offer, but never found a place to live that I could afford on such a pittance. Especially sad as I was extremely qualified for the position.
