    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Verisign (Reston, VA) in February 2013.

    Interview

Received a phone call from a recruiter talking about the position. Then had a phone interview for tech screening with one of their programmer team, asked some fundamental questions about network protocols, big O notation and some basic programming questions. Got the notice for an on-site interview the same day. One week later, had the onsite interview at their Reston headquarter, interview lasted about 4 hours with 6 people in a 6 rounds 1 on 1 interview. Each lasted 30 min. The interview went pretty smooth, had most of the questions prepared and answered. Had not received any feedback after the interview, thought I got rejected in a silent way. I don't think that is professional.

    Interview Questions

    Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verisign (Reston, VA) in May 2012.

    Interview

Got an email for the HR rep that she wanted to set me up for a phone interview. A week later I got a half hour call from the Manager in the department I was going to be working for. It went well, he asked a bunch of knowledge questions, personality questions, strengths and weaknesses, and situational questions. It went well because a few days later I got another call from the HR rep and was told they wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview. I met with 5 different people from the few departments that I was going to be jumping around with in the Finance department and talked to each person for about half hour. Total interview was a little over 2 hours. It went really well and the next day I was offered the position!

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verisign (San Francisco, CA) in August 2011.

    Interview

I interviewed through a recruiter. Had a couple phone interviews than went in for an on site interview where I met with 3 members of their inside sales team. They all were very professional and to the point. After I passed this round I had to call up who would be my manager and run him through a mock discovery call. This is where I lost him I was fresh out of college and have never done a discovery call before and was rambling like a mad men. All in all a good experience which I learned a lot from.

    Interview Questions

    • The hardest part for me was giving the mock discovery call. They ask you to explain to the difference between DDoS attacks and other technical aspects but that is pretty straight forward. They do not expect you to be a technical whiz.   Answer Question

    Program Manager Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Dulles, VA

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verisign (Dulles, VA) in July 2010.

    Interview

Initial interview was over the phone with the hiring manager (non-US based) and received very prompt positive feedback, but needed to wait two more weeks due to scheduling challenges of other interviewers. On-site, in-person interviews were then scheduled and ended up meeting with three different individuals (co-workers and VP of group). Received more positive feedback, but working with the internal recruiter took a few more weeks as we worked through salary and role expectation reviews. Received offer and accepted, entire process took five weeks from initial contact to office acceptance.
