Account Executive Interview

Anonymous Employee in Fort Wayne, IN
Accepted Offer
Positive Experience
Difficult Interview

Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon Wireless (Fort Wayne, IN) in July 2017.

Interview

The hiring manager was thorough and explained the interview process upfront. This is a professional environment. Make sure to dress professionally. The interviewer immediately put me at ease and went through a series of pre-determined questions. The questions range from "tell me about yourself" to explain a time in a current/previous career where you faced a significant challenge. What did you do to solve it.

Interview Questions

  • Describe how you would approach a cold call (i.e. waking into a place of business and introducing yourself) and sell Verizon Wireless.   1 Answer

    Interview

Interviewed with 3 managers, not a very structured process. The managers were interviewing other candidates as well as performing their job duties. The interviews were just trying to get to know the candidate not too many in depth questions. They were more focused on the questions that you had for them than the questions they had for you.

The average questions of how and what you plan to do out of the gate, what you think are the most important tasks and strategies to employee working as a sole person or on a team. How to upsell a client and how to break into a new account or industry vertical, all close to on the ground tactics and high level strategy.
