Clerk Interview

Positive Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Walmart (Denver, CO) in January 2015.

Interview

Manager was very friendly and informative. The interview took place in the food court and then she walked me through the store to show me around. She introduced me to the team members and I was able to see what the job entailed. It was a very laid back interview process.

Rather involved for such a lowly hourly position. One would think the wages were higher. more mathematics. The coverage issue. What about people not pulling their wieght. Exactly how fast should the stockers be stocking. What happends if overtime looks possible. how does labor hours stay low.

    Interview

The hiring process at Wal-mart was quite simple. It only took me a couple days to hear back for an interview and the HR admin were very kind and polite. I went in for an interview a few days later and it was very informal and easy-going. There was approximately 10 questions I had to answer and the interviewer was very calm. I ended up getting the job but didn't end up taking it because I wanted to work somewhere else.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart in June 2009.

    Interview

This was a very simple interview. Probably the easiest I have ever had but I think basically so many people are hired on, that it is very impersonal. There are many students and old people that are employed there. Because the economy is so sluggish, there are many people applying for a job here.
