    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart in February 2017.

    Interview

The person up front sent me to the wrong place, I sat on a bench for 15 min until a manager saw me sitting with wearing business attire and assumed I was the job applicant. He took me to a room and pulled out my application that had a sticky note on it. He walked me down to another room where he sat me down and told me that even though they had called me to interview for CSM, there actually wasn't any positions open, and instead just offered me a cashier position after asking no questions and said that a CSM position would open up very soon and I could interview then.

    Interview

Interview was pro forma. Seemed like the decision was made before I arrived that the position was filled. Little eye contact and monotone voice from HR person. Very off putting.

Typical interiew, will ask a question and they want you to pull from a specific reference. Not horribly difficult, just make stuff up if you have to the people who interview you aren't going to care unfortunately.

Hiring off course is a process, as should be any place of business. There is a background check and Drug Screen process. I started out in Sporting Goods...so I had to undergo a second background process ( a more in-depth process) because of the sale of firearms and privacy info that goes along with that position.
