    Easy Interview

    Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (San Bruno, CA).

    Interview

Recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. Short 15-20 minute intro call with the recruiter which was mostly information about the company and some of my background. There is then a "game" you play from SkyCity. If you pass that you'll get an in-person interview offer. Took about 3-5 days to get the interview offer. In person interview is 3 one on one interviews. Use your recruiter to help prepare.

    Area Manager Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

The process took a week. I interviewed at Walmart.

    Interview

Initial contact was very quick, 3 days after applying. Conducted first interview over the phone on a Friday, it was based on several behavioral questions. I was called a few hours after first interview for a second on-site interview the next business day (Monday). After the second interview was complete I was told I would know no later then 3 days later. I followed up after 3 days to thank the interviewers for the opportunity and their time. I was informed then that a decision would be made by the end of the week (Friday) and I would be notified either way. It is now 3 weeks later and nothing back. A lot of companies claim a "professional" culture and leadership, but there is nothing professional about not informing the final candidate pool (I was told 4 of us) on the decision. A good leader/manager should possess the ability to deliver any kind of news.

Interviewer really didn't have any interest in conducting onsite interviews that day. She spent a lot of time looking at her phone instead of listening to my answers. Really did not appear that she enjoyed her job.

    Interview Questions

    • She really didn't ask any difficult questions. Standard questions, why I want to work for Walmart, why did I leave my other job. Nothing too difficult.   Answer Question

    Interview

A few basic questions going over what was in the application. If you get to the interview you basically have the job. Basically that is all there is to it.
