Stocker Interview

Anonymous Employee in Colorado Springs, CO

Positive Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Colorado Springs, CO) in August 2013.

Interview

Had an interview with the department manager who asked 4 questions, pretty easy and standard interview questions. "Name a time you had a difficult task, what steps did you take to accomplish it and what was the outcome?" After the interview with the Dept. Manager I was asked if I would like to stay for a second interview, of course I accepted and did the second interview with the assistant manager who also asked 4 questions. (They were basically the same questions that were asked in the first interview but worded differently) She then had me fill out papers for consent to do a background check, told me what my position is and that I'll be called after my background check comes back for a job offer and drug test.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Walmart (Cincinnati, OH).

    Interview

The first step in the proceswas completing the application, then I was given an assessment test to help them determine if I would best be suited for dealing with the public or more of a behind the scenes worker. After the test was the 1st interview which had many good questions to determine how I would handle situations, then they had me come back for my second interview which many of the questions were the same as the 1st interview, which I would guess was to see the consistency of my answers.

    Interview Questions

    • One question was "tell me about a time you handled a difficult situation" followed up with "tell me a time where you had a disagreement with another associate".   1 Answer

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Walmart (New York, NY) in January 2014.

    Interview

Applied online and was asked to take a test. The test was simple but it is how you handle things and if you used to handling things different than walmart wants then you will fail it. Think about what walmart wants and answer those questions that way and you will be fine.

The hiring process was pretty straight forward.
I applied online. They later called me in for an interview. They also sent me to take a drug test... Which I had to wait over an hour to take and I was the only person in the waiting room...
