After sending my application online, I didn't hear back from them until 3 months later inviting me to an assessment day. The assessment day consisted of about 30 candidates in total, the two current interns and around 7 assessors who were assigned different candidates to observe during the tasks. There was an ice breaker challenge, we had to stand up and share about ourselves (names an courses) then we had to share which Warner Bros character you were most like and why. For this task I'd say instead of saying along the lines of 'superman because he's strong just like me', say something original like why you can identify and relate to a character, perhaps something in the plot of the film your character appears in and why can relate their actions. Then, we got separated into groups of 5 to undergo group tasks. We had to watch a trailer for an upcoming film and then complete different questions on a sheet of paper handed out. As a group we had to answer each question and present them to a panel within 5 minutes. They also gave us a big sheet of paper as a visual aid for the presentation. Make sure you voice your ideas here as you're being assessed the whole day. It might be best to delegate questions to each team member to use your limited time effectively. Then we had a 'speed dating' style interview where we were asked questions and had to answer them within 15 seconds, there were about 4/5 rounds of this. Then we had lunch where we also had the opportunity to chat with the current interns, head of departments I was applying for and staff members already working at Warner Bros. Also had the opportunity to mingle with fellow candidates. After this social time was over, they then announced who made it to the next stage and those who weren't selected could go home. Once selected we then had to complete tasks as individuals. We had to spot any mistakes made on a DVD cover such as spelling, given a scenario in which we had to write an email to a new colleague to arrange a meeting and arrange merchandise- Make sure you ask any questions for clarification because the merchandise was quite confusing. After this, I had an interview with the two heads of departments which was about 25 minutes. This was very relaxed setting, they were wearing jeans and shirts. After this, you are free to go home. If you make it this far you will get a phone call within the next week to let you know whether you got the job or not, here you can ask for feedback of your performance even if rejected.
