My answer was: 1) closed walled gardens, unreachable to Google's crawling spiders (I am looking at you Facebook and other paid news sites); 2) regulation and politics, from Governement limiting web access (see China and other dictatorships in the Arab Spring); 3) social trends, in which users consume their content from within social networks (which, by the way, are closed to Google and not G+).

4) Mobile monetization, since adwords is ineffective for it.
5) Asia Smartphone makers forking Android and leaving all the google apps out (No way to monetize that.)
6) The opposition Google will face by ISP providers who want to maintain the Status Quo and block the expansion of Google Fiber.
7)Re-Thinking G+ since very few people wants to use it.
8) Backlash against google Cars.
9) Lawmakers opposing the use of driverless cars, etc.
