Interview Answer

This is a tough one, you don't want the manager to feel you want his job, but you also don't want to make the District Manager feel like you have no ambition. I would be honest and give "'politically correct"' justifications to my honest response. "I would very much enjoy being a manager, however, I understand it takes time, training, and in some cases, transferring to another location in the country, all of which would have to be addressed at the time of promotion, but I definitely would leave it as an option."
