    Pension Specialist Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Denver, CO
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Willis Towers Watson (Denver, CO) in March 2016.

    Interview

I was first contacted by an outside staffing company who did an initial Skype interview. Then I did a phone interview with someone from WTW, but she didn't really sell me on the position. I later found my notes from that interview and saw that I had written, "Sounds boring!!" I am glad that I did go in for an in-person interview because the two managers I met with totally changed my perception of the job overall. The questions were pretty standard and I was completely comfortable talking to the managers.

The most important thing I learned from the contrast between the phone interview and the in-person interview is that it really is so hard to tell very much about the job from just a phone interview.

    Interview Questions

    • How do you manage your time when you have a large workload? (Or something to that effect- I don't remember exactly how it was phrased)   1 Answer

    .NET Developer Interview

    Anonymous Employee
    Accepted Offer
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Willis Towers Watson.

    Interview

I applied through LinkedIn, got response in a week. Was interviewed following week over the phone. It lasted for an hour. It was basic technical questions and some project management questions to verify your genuineness of your experience. Got response in 3 days and was scheduled for the interview a week later. The interview was held onsite. There were 3 rounds of interviews. One was with the Director of IT, the other with PM and the last one with Architect/TL. The architect asked question specific to the project. This was followed by some technical discussion about Sitecore architecture. This was then followed by code to debug and improve. The code has some compilation issues, it was simple.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I did not negotiate. It is such a great company and I was looking forward to be part of this company. Moreover, the offer was as per industry standard.

    Declined Offer
    Easy Interview

    Application

I interviewed at Willis Towers Watson in April 2014.

    Interview

Very laid back and personal. Do your research and be confident. Towers is a faced paced company as most consulting firms are. The only reason I declined was because I got a better offer.
